howdy!
As a therapist, I am committed to making sure people feel like their stories are important and making sure that my clients always have someone to listen if they need. The most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship, and I want to foster a space where you feel safe and heard, and genuinely believe and know that you have someone in your corner.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I know what it’s like first hand to not be accepted for your true authentic self, and all of the stressors and judgement that comes with this. with therapy, it is a privilege to have a seat at your table and listen to your story. I want to offer you a place where you have someone who meets you at your level, without judgement.
Clinical Approach
My therapeutic style is one that champions clients by leading with kindness and candor. I want people to feel like they can show up as their authentic self, and build a connection with my clients that is built upon trust and honesty. I strive for sessions to have an air of warmth and acceptance, while also holding balance within facing things head on when ready. We can face hard things when they come up, but we can also laugh along the way!
I’m trauma-informed, lgbtqia+ affirmative, and eclectic in modality, but practice most often from Person Centered Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy lenses.

Modalities used in session
Every client is unique in their needs and the therapeutic approach that works best for them. As eclectic therapists, we pull from several different modalities for talk therapy, feel free to read about them below!
Upon meeting with you, we can tailor the approach that best fits your needs during our sessions.
-
Originally created by Carl Rogers, PCT posits that you (the client) are the expert on your own life. Therapists using this modality are merely a compassionate guide alongside you, free of judgment.
-
In this therapeutic approach, clients explore their values, beliefs, and personal truths, aiming to confront anxieties and embrace the authentic self. The goal is to help individuals find meaning and purpose, fostering a deeper understanding of their existence and enhancing their capacity for personal growth and resilience.
-
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is a therapy approach that focuses on managing irrational or unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In contrast to more passive talk therapy, REBT focuses on actions. REBT can help patients to identify and dismantle unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors.
-
LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy is a therapeutic approach that validates and supports the identities and experiences of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or part of the LGBTQ+ spectrum. It prioritizes creating a safe and accepting space for clients to explore their identities and navigate any challenges related to their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
